Understanding the guides and marks used in the templates

We strongly recommend using our templates when designing for print. Each of these templates are preconfigured with the exact specifications the printer needs to cut, fold and finish your product correctly.

Layout Templates - Using the Templates

Safety Area

Keep all important text, images & logos inside this area. Anything outside the safety area risks getting chopped off when trimming.

Trim Line

This is the final size of your artwork after the bleed has been trimmed off. Note: we use Japanese crop marks, which have both bleed and trim marks.

Bleed Area

This extra space will be trimmed off when your job is cut to size. Make sure all background graphics or photos extend to this area to avoid white edges. Bleed is 3mm on all sides (Japan standard).
